Is It Normal To Have Memory Lapses And Mood Swings When Suffering From Depression And Anxiety?

Hi my name is Elvira Acosta, Wilmington Calif. I have a long history of depression and anxiety. Feeling very depressed since the loss of my Father who passed July 2013. Can t be happy or feel like I want to be happy, concentration,forgetfulness, mood swings, unhappy or angry, wondering why?

In depression and anxiety, patients do not able to concentrate, due to which they feel difficulty in remembering. This is called pseudo-dementia. You should consult a psychiatrist and need some antidepressant. That would help to decrease depressive symptoms and memory problems.
