Is It Normal To Have Low Body Temperature While Having Hot Flashes?
i am 9 weeks pregnant. have been hospitalized for hyperemisis (24/7 severe nausea & vomiting), but home now. my question... i have been having hot flashes (face &/or chest gets bright red and hot to touch; chest sweats) thruout days and nights. i finally took my temp today during 2 of these episodes, and have a lowered body temp 97.1 during these hot flushes. Is this typical, or atypical, and should i talk w/ my doc??
Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. I think you shouldn't worry about hot flushes during pregnancy These are very common, particularly in the 1st and 3rd trimesters. However, please maintain very good oral hydration, avoid stress, exertions, have adequate rest and sleep and don't ever miss to take the Folic Acid supplementation. Please try to have high fiber diet or plain ispagulah husk 2 tsf in a cup of water at bedtime. If your bowel are not overloaded, vomiting will be less. For any further information, please write back a direct question to me. Regards, Dr. Kaushik Sarkar
