Is It Normal To Have Food Lodgement At The Tonsillectomy Site?

Hi, I had a tonsillectomy on 12-22. Haven't taken any pain meds in days. I feel so much better. When I eat soft foods..... some of the food lodges in the places that my tonsils used to be. Is this normal? How long will it last if normal?

Thanks for your help.
