Is It Normal To Have Bruising Even After Taking Flucloxacillin For Insect Bite?

I was bitten by an insect and this got infected. I saw a doctor and I was prescribed flucloxacillin to treat this which I have taken for the last 2 days. The swelling has gone down slightly but my skin still looks very infected and it has since developed purple bruising. Is this normal or should I consult a doctor again?
