Is It Alright To Decrease Thyroid Medication Dosage With Test Result- T3-2.4,T4-0.9,TSH-4.8, During Pregnancy?
i m hypo thyroid patient running 22nd week of my pregnancy.up to now I ve taken eltroxine100mg daily in the morning and docter suggested me to take lethyrox25 by observing my latest thyroid test results,i.e.,T3-2.4,T4-0.9,TSH-4.8.is it correct to decrease my dosage?
hi glad you asked the query from your query it is obvious that the tsh is still high although within the normal range
i would definitely not reduce the dose of your thyroid medication specially considering the harmful effects of hypothyroidism on children like cretinism
i would suggest a step up to a higher dose maybe in fact there has been a typo error they probably wanted to give you 125 micrograms
reducing is not an option in my opinion i hope that answers your query and helps you
take good care of yourself thats how you take care of your baby for these 9 months try some hematinics, calcium and vitamin D supplements
best of luck
