Is It A Blockage If Small Opening In The Stomach And Larger In Intestine?
I had a Gastric Bypass in 92, and have gain some weight back. I went for a visit to see if I could have a revise and had to take a test to see stomach and intestine. They tell me my pouch is small but the opening to intestine is larger than stomach, is this a blockage, and should I have the surgery again
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. You should not have surgery again considering just this findings and it is not blockage if there is passage into small intestines. If you have some symptoms such as vomit or pain then you should consider doing MRi scan for better evaluation. But surgery is last option in such cases.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
