Is Further Investigation Needed For Tender Submandibular Lymph Nodes?

My submandibular lymph nodes on my R-side are tender to palpation. My C-sp AROM and PROM is also restricted, namely in rotation and lateral flexion bilaterally. I suspect that I have a R-sided submandibular lymphadenopathy/lymphadenitis. Is this a condition that will pass on its own, or is further investigation required?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

If the lymph nodes are increasing in size, becoming painful, become hard to touch, become matted, do not move then further investigations like FNAC or biopsy might be required. I suggest you get in touch with a GP nearby you and get them examined to know whether they are really significant or not. If they are swollen and tender there is an infection in ear nose and throat region.
Thanks.
