Is Familion Safe To Take And How Severe Is My Condition?

Hi, Recently i had by ultrasound done and the impression said 'Bilateral polycystice ovaries". The doctor prescribed Familon tablets for 3 months.

below are the queries :

1. How severe is the condition ?

2. Is it safe to have familon. Understand its a contraceptive pill. I'm not sexually active

Hello,

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is very common disorder seen in many girls nowadays. So taking Femilon is safe for PCOS unless there are contraindications. Severity of the condition depends on how irregular are you periods, do you have unwanted hair growth in other parts of body like upper lips, chin or side of face, also are you over weight? So OC pills is the treatment for PCOS along with lifestyle modification to reduce your weight. It could be required for longer than 3 months to improve your symptoms. So don’t worry about safety issues.
