Is Early Intrauterine Cyesis Cause Of Concern?

Hi, I had a transabdominal ultrasound 10 days ago. It read that there was a gestation sac measuring 5 weeks 5 days, which is how far along I was, but no fetal pole seen yet. He also wrote that there was decidual reaction. His concusion was 'early intrauterine cyesis'. Should I be worried?

Hi and welcome to HCM.

Fetal pole most of the times becomes visible after 6 weeks of gestation.
Cyesis is the medical term that is used to refer to pregnancy. Early intrauterine cyesis means you are in early stage of pregnancy. Its completely normal and you need not worry.
The decidual reaction is a feature seen in very early pregnancy that appears in the generalized area where the blastocyst contacts the endometrial decidua. Its normal

Your doctor may advice another scan after a week to confirm fetal pole presence.

All the best
