General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Duct ectasia is not a cancerous condition. It is caused by chronic inflammation of the mammary ducts.Initially,it is managed with antibiotics and other supportive measures. If it causes recurrent problems despite treatment, may need a minor surgical procedure to remove the inflamed and blocked ducts. Before surgery, usually the condition is confirmed by MRI and cytological studies.
Please note that,SMOKING make this condition worse.Quit smoking if you do.
Hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
