Is Difficulty In Passing Stool Normal After Colonoscopy?
Hi, I am 62 male. I have only had 4 occassions in my life when passing a stool was extremely painful and difficult but 3 have occurred in the last 10 weeks since having a colonoscopy. I had 2 polyps removed one being pre-cancerous is there a link to this procedure and my current stool problem? I presumed it was just because my stools were bigger than my back passage but yesterday I had to "get hands on" and it was rock hard. Why? regards Steve
It is nothing but constipation that must have caused the pain while passing the stool, and it is not related to polyp or malignancy.
Overall it is constipation I would suggest to have fiber containing diet, increase water intake, keep a regular habit of defecation, else it is not related to anything else.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
