Is Delay In Treatment For Bladder Infection A Problem?

Hi, just a quick question on a suspected bladder infection as i constantly have an urge to urinate. Does it matter how long you leave it without treatment? I believe i have had this now for 4 days and only today rang the doctors. I was given an appointment for friday which is another 3 days. Will this matter? Thanks very much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a bladder infection.

I suggest to treat it properly and as soon as possible, so the infection does not aggravate.

I recommend a cycle of antibiotics.

I also recommend to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
