Is Constant Fever In A Child A Symptom Of Dengue?

Help doc. My 8 mongh old baby had a fever 100.4 in evening and he vomited all the food he eaten at the same time . after that in the night the fever increased to102.5. He was suffering from cold . today he was feeling irritable, and was sleeping a lot. Can it be dengue?

Hi,

It could be, but most prominent symptoms of dengue are high grade fever with chills, malaise, retro-orbital pain and joint pain of which high grade fever and joint pain is characteristically absent in your case.
