Hello
One year back your mother had bypass surgery and now for cough and cold prescribed ZOCEF i.e cefuroxime and montek i.e. montelukast .
Zocef is an antibiotic and effective against many bacteria like influenza , surgical prophylaxis. Montelukast is an antihistamine and act as an anti-allergic agent.
These both drugs can be given concomitantly without any side effect or any drug interaction with each other .
Your mother is also having blood with cough , this is a cause of concern .
In my opinion consult a physician ( 2nd opinion ) and get his opinion as your mother is an operated case of heart.
Good luck.
