Is Being Agitated, Sweating And Bruising After Stopping Intake Of Zoloft Dangerous?
My daughter age 22 has been on Zoloft, the pa and her had a disagreement and they stopped all her meds and now is is coming off Zoloft cold. She is highly aggitated, sweats are all over and is.bruising badly. We are tryin to find a doctor. Do any of these symptoms sound dangerous or do you have any imput?
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
Zoloft contains sertraline which is a drug of SSRI class.
It should not be discontinued suddenly rather it should be tapered off very gradually and only under the supervision of a qualified physician.
Your daughter is probably having the withdrawal side effects.
You should resume the Zoloft in the same doses and get evaluated by a local physician for the advise and guidance regarding tapering if the patient no longer needs it.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
