Is Any Treatment Required For Pain In The Arm?

I was lifting light hand weights at the for the first time yesterday, moving arms straight up bilaterally from sides to overhead. I felt a twinge of pain in my rt upper arm and now am having difficulty raising my right hand over my head or away from my rt side without pain. It only slightly aches at ret. Should I begin treatment with ice or heat? I took ibuprofen and a Flexeril.
