Is A Delayed Period After Unprotected Intercourse Due To A Pregnancy?
i have been on microgynon 30 for some time now.i ahve been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend. i came off my pill on saturday to take my period and it still is not here 3 days later.this is not normal for me as i usually take it the next day.am i pregnant?
First of all, I want you to relax. Many women who have been on low-dose birth control pills skip a period once and a while, because the pill is designed to give you light periods, and sometimes it works too well.
To be safe, however, you should perform an over-the-counter pregnancy test to provide reassurance.
If you do accidentally conceive while taking birth control pills, you should know that the medication has no affect on a developing fetus.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that this information was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
