Is PUV Considered Hereditary?

my 18 month old son has PUV, hydronephrosis and VUR grade 5. He had surgery for his PUV when he was 3 days old. Will have surgery for VUR in a year or two.

My question is: is PUV considered heridetary? I also have a 5 year old who is healthy. We are wondering if we want to have another child if this is something that could be hereditary?? Thank you!!

Pediatrician 's  Response
pvu and hyderonephrosis not hereditary but it's occurs in kids who have recurrent urinarytract infection.. hyderonephrosis might be due to some side effects of the drugs which you took during antenatal period.
