Brief Answer:
Further worsening unlikley

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query as well the attached report and understand your concerns. It is apparent that pyeloplasty has been done and so possibly the PUJ obstruction has been relieved. This will arrest further hydronephrotic changes from developing but would not make the prior changes regress. The fact that the ultrasound report shows the prior changes to remain unaltered is not concerning. Further worsening is unlikely, nevertheless, periodic follow up is essential. You need not worry.

Let me know if I could help further.

I was dispensed the wrong medication by Boots. I had been taking 100mg atenolol daily instead of 100mg of allopurinol for gout. I ended up in hospital bradycardic and, apparently, very close to an M.I. I only have one remaining kidney with mild hydronephrosis.I only took 2 doses and the last one I took was last Wednesday evening. I keeping getting a very lethargic, dizzy and going quite pale, whenever I get up to do something. Is it still normal to feel unwell after 5 days without taking the drug. I realise the half-life of atenolol is only 6 hours, so I am rather worried as to why I am still feeling similarly to how I was last week.

my daughter is suffering from primary VUR Gr3/Gr2 left&right withnormal DMSA report, without hydronephrosis&renal dysplasia.she had one febrile UTI at the age of three in2007.she was on ABP (uritop1/3 dose)recently she had one breakthrough UTI managed medically. Now the doc is telling it is persisting one you have to undergo a surgery called ureteral re-implantationand mentioning that she may not have any problem now but in future during her pregnancyin the form of HTN&ESRD.but my search in medical databases which includes meta analysis, sys reviews&RCT s are showing no significant difference between medical&surgical management.moreover prenancy related problems are only due to congenital renal dysplasia not due to VUR.MY queries are; 1.is surgical management necessary?is there any evidence for it s superiority? 2.can we wait till puberty for self correction? --3.can medical management be an option? 4.is there any study evidence the primary VUR led to pregnancy problems? 5.what are the latest articles in this regard?
