Is HCTZ Safe For Blood Pressure?

I just took my blood pressure and it was 90/48. I take one tablet of HCTZ daily that was prescribed by my doctor. Do I need to be alarmed by this low blood pressure. I am thinking about taking the HCTZ every other day instead of daily if this will help.
