Irregular Periods. Heavy Spotting After Intercourse. Taking Minigynon. Anything To Worry?

I have been taking minigynon 30 for about three weeks because it was my first time I did as instructed my the leaflet when starting for the first time, take the first pill on the fist day of your period. I did so, however my period was scheduled to finish a week and a half ago and to date I am still spotting. I also spot the heaviest after intercourse, should I be concerned

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
During early months of starting the pills some amount of irregularity in menstrual flow is common.
Usually that will subside soon.
You can take symptomatic treatment to stop the spotting.
If same problem continues you may need additional dose of hormones for few days.
You discuss these things with your doctor and follow her advice.
