Irregular Period. Have PCOD, Matured Follicle. Taking Clomid, Hucog. Can It Be Ruptured?

Hello, I'm 30 + and with three years of married life. I have PCOD on bilaterally on both ovaries. I have irregular periods from my adolescence. Last year after taking clomid and Hucog 5000 injection I conceived, but at 7th week it happened missed abortion. I have done SIS and the tubes are patent. This year according to my doc, I have taken clomid again and Hucog 5000 injection ( when follicle size was 21x18 mm). But still after three days of taking the injection, it's not ruptured. Is there any chance that the matured follicle will no be ruptured at all? Please give me the information. I'm very worried about it and feeling so helpless. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. If there is no rupture of the follicle even after three days of taking the HCG injection, then it is likely to be an overgrown follicle. This is not likely to rupture now.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Let me know if you wish any other information.
