Intermittent Tinnitus In Right Ear. Heartbeats Loud And Intrusive. Stops When Carotid Is Pressed And After Yawning. Suggestions?

Hello, for many years now I have had on and off tinnitus in right ear only. It is my heartbeat and it varies in sound from sounding faint several years ago to being quite loud and intrusive now. Tends to flare up for a few days/weeks and then taper off for awhile. Also, I notice if I press on the carotid on that side it stops or if I yawn it also disappears for a couple minutes.

Hi
It can be due to a high blood pressure or due to dysrhythmias of heart.Carotid pressure gives you reduction in heart rate and BP.Better get a BP check and ECG.Then we can rule out primarily whats wrong.Mostly Beta blockers might help you.You might need antianxiety drugs also.Have a physician consultation better.Hope this may help you.Thanks.
