What causes intermittent tinnitus?

Hi. I have been experiencing ringing in my ears on and off, but today as I was just sitting watching TV all of a sudden the ringing started in my right ear and instantly it felt clogged, sounds are echoing and when I eat it sounds weird as well. My right side of my face feels different. I m not congested or sick. It just happened all of a sudden.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think you may be suffering from iron deficiency anemia which is causing the ringing in ears. Another possibility is hypertension or antihypertensive drugs causing it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
