Infected Tooth Extracted, Have Swollen Mass Under Jaw, On Antibiotics. What To Do?

i had an infected tooth extracted. i have a swollen mass under my jaw. it does not seem to be muscular hypertrophy has there are no muscle in that region. i fear it may be a cyst, however have been on antibiotics for 2 days and it has not changed much. also 2 days post oral surgery

Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
It can be possible that you where having an abscess or cyst in relation to that infected tooth. After the extraction definitely the infection has relived, but swelling will be there.
You should complete your antibiotic course and follow all the instructions given by the dentist it will take 5 to 7 days for swelling to reduce.
If it does not reduces after that also then you should visit your dentist for the follow up.
