What Causes Small Cyst Below The Knee?

I have a small cyst below the knee, I consulted the 3 physicans and they told it is a small cyst and can be ignored as long as it is not increasing in Size and not paining. Some one told this could be because of a ligament tear as well. What are you thoughts.

Hello,

Second suggestion is correct that some popliteal cysts may arise as a result of meniscal tears.

We usually do not prefer to left pathology untreated unless its diagonosis is confirm means we can left the cyst untreated only after the diagonosis and causative factor are ellucidated,and they fall into non omnious one.

So you to get an mri or usg of your knee having the cyst and aspiration and testing of the cyst fluid to know the cause of its formation and to classify it into omnious and non omnious one.
