Infant Passing Liquid Stool Several Times A Day, Greenish With Mucous. Shall I Give Walamycin Suspension?

My daughter is 52 days old. She is passing liquid stool several times a day since last 3/4 days. Initially it was greenish with mucous. But now it is yellowish. It is liquid but do have some solid particles . Shall I give Walamycin suspension to my baby?

Hi,

The symptoms you describe go for a viral infection of the intestine.

Walamycin is an antibiotic, You should not begin an antibiotic to the child since it seems a viral infection.

You can add probiotics and salt oral rehydration solutions. If the symptoms aggravate than you should consult the local doctor.
