Infant having fever, motions, is teething, prescribed taxim-o forte. What could the problem be?

Hello Doctor, My 10 months son is having high fever ( upto 103.5) . He had motions for almost a month now. Initially the pediatrician said, it may be due to theehing . However if fever rises above 101 we need to check again. Now he has prescribed Taxim - O Forte 3ml - 2 times a day for 5 days. What is the problem with my baby ? Thanks & Regards Vrinda
