Increased Appetite. What Are The Causes?

Hi, I am 22 years old and I am a female. For some reason, my appetite has increased and I seem to be hungry most of the time. It never used to be like that. I normally get really hungry before I go on my period but i ve come off it now. Is my body just used to the hunger? It never used to be like that. I am a healthy eater.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
An increased appetite can be a symptom of different diseases. a significantly increased appetite over a prolonged period could be a symptom of a serious illness, such as diabetes or hyperthyroidism, stress and anxiety. If you are experiencing excessive hunger that is ongoing, make an appointment to see your doctor.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
