I Went To Emergency On Monday And Today Is Thursday.

I went to emergency on Monday and today is Thursday. I had a huge swollen neck underneath my jaw on both sides. I had mumps when I was a kid so I felt this was not going to be the case. Dr. in emergency differed in opinion; and said he thought it may very well be mumps. I don't have a sore throat; I do have a mild fever and am struggling with extreme dry mouth. Also, if I am not taking Advil, my head really starts to hurt. I am generally achy all over and as a precaution, have stayed at home. The Doctor phoned back today with results negative for mumps. What else could it possibly be?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello
What's your age??
If you have swollen salivary glands both sides then it could be some autoimmume disease. Like wegeners granulomatosis.
You need to consult your ENT specialist and get done canca, esr, crp
And some other blood test which are to rule out autoimmume disease s
In doubt do reply.
