I Suffer From Depression I Am In Therapy And On Antidepressants At Times.

Sometimes I wish I was dead I suffer from depression I am in therapy and on antidepressants At times I find myself cutting myself. I have been cutting off and on since I was 15 and I m 40 now,and still I feel life is not worth living but I cant seem to end my life as much as I want to, so I continue to take it out on myself by cutting so that I can escape my feelings or else to feel something hoping that someday I will be able to do it right

"depression" is a mental and fisical state of mind if you don't sleep well (8 hours) or eat 3 - 5 meals a day you will in turn feel down.
there are sleeping aids available over the counter (ask your pharmacy witch ones can you take with your current medicine)
go to bed and get up at a sensible time (11PM - 7AM)
when you wake take some you time have some breakfast then snack, lunch, dinner, snack-(supper)
eat fresh fruit (5X5) 5 fruit or veg also 5 different colors eat plenty of fiber red and white meats write down all your problems on a piece of paper take 30 min make sure you get them all then work out and categorize all your problems ex people, past, current situation after you have done that then work on a fix it list goles get some help to do this if you need

Hello.welcome.You are having this depression for past 25 years which is a very long time.You must consult a psychiatrist and go for counseling sessions with him along with antidepressant treatment.Along with this treatment you must also think of improving your physical health by doing regular exercises,yoga,meditation and good nutritious diet.Good luck.

You are suffering from severe depression and you are aware of it that is good thing.
when you are awaare of your illness you cannot neglect it.Looking severity of condition I would advise you to be strictly under care of psychiatrist rather than making any suggestions. Thanks
