I had chickenpox at age 17. I just got shingles the end of Jan 2011, I took acyolovir for the 10 days. I have been done with the prescription for about 1 week, week and half. I now have an outbreak on my hand. Is there anything I can do? Do I go and get another prescription? Or do nothing?
Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Shingles is caused by the chicken pox virus.Once suffered part of it gets settled in the spine and remains dormant but some time it may cause shingles.If you are getting repeated attacks of shingles then it is better to consult a Physician and get another prescription of antiviral if it is severe so that the treatment is proper and the antivirus helps to erradicate the virus.
Thanks
