I Have Blocked Arteries In My Legs. What Does It Mean?

i have been told this past week that i have blocked arteries in my legs,do you know anyone in same situation? over the past 10 years,my uncle has had both legs amputated,(sadly died 2 years ago. My aunt one leg amputated this year died two weeks ago, my mother both legs amputated three years ago, and last week i was told that i had blocked arteries and that i have to see a vascular consultant this week.does anyone know of anyone who has blocked arteries and what was the procedure and outcome of them,i am 51 years of age,live alone and also live 40 miles away from any family etc. I am still in shock at the news.the pain in legs and feet is unbearable at the moment and i cannot sleep at all.
