I feel like piece of tonsil tissue hanging low on the back of my tongue

My tonsil looks stretched out, a piece of it is hanging low and I can feel it on the back of my tongue when I breath , talk, eat, swallow. I have been having tonsil stones for about a week now, no sore throat though. What could this be?
