Is My Tonsil Grown Back As My Throat Hurts?

I had my tonsils out 4 years ago and about a week ago one side of my throat started to hurt. I now feel like there are pins and needles in my mouth and throat with an achy feeling and have a lump on one side. Did my tonsil grow back or is this a tonsil tag. My tongue even hurts a bit.

Hello

Yes it is possible that your tonsil may have grown back , this is not uncommon . It is also possible that you are having enlargement of other glands in the throat especially on the tongue and back of throat whih is giving you the pins and needles feeling.
I would like you to meet your ent doctor , who will examine you and confirm this. He will also prescribe the necessary antibiotics for the swelling to come down.

Thanks
