the most common cause of pain in neck is the problem with cervical spine and in young people it is invariably because of bad posture. it is hard to accept but it is the truth, unless the posture is corrected the neck keeps hurting. you need to consult orthopaedician or neurosurgeon and get an MRI done for the spine to know what exactly has happened in the neck to cause you the pain.

First get yourself an MRI of Cervical Spine done.In your case botox will be helpful mainly if you r having stiffness of neck. One injection of botox will cost you more than Rs.15000.Avoid bending your nck forwards an always apply a cervical collar.Probably there is some amount of negligence on your part.

Hi, I have been having neck pain for about two weeks. It seems to have began with too much reading and too much time on the computer...plus maybe working on flower beds. I am 81 years old. It is relieved with Tylenol every 10 to twelve hours and heating pads. But I am concerned with how serious it might be. Generally if I get a stiff neck it goes away within a few days.

Doctor, I, 65 years male, am having cervical spondylitis and lower back pain for past 30 years and osteo arthriitis ofboth knees. I didnt take much medication though I have constant neck pain and knee pain. I used to experience giddiness at times. However, I was able to walk faster, and climb stairs. while coming down the steps I have difficulty. Of late, I hav started having problems keeping my balalnce while walking. I kind of sway and have the fear of falling. Some times I have no problem while walking. I have been asked by a neuro surgeon, to do MRI of sipne. Meanwhile, he has prescribed Doloneuron 100 and Tolperitas 150 tablets for 10 days. Klndly advise whether this will help in improving my gait. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Jairaj Kamthan

two months ago I began with an upper respiratory infection. I temporarily lost my voice, but this resolved quickly. I then began having palpitations, anterior neck pain, headaches, fatigue. I took a full course of Augmentin, but once stopped, all symptoms continued again. Now I have palpitation that are intense, and wake me out of a sound sleep. My heart thumps all night, and I can tell it skips beats. My anterior neck will have an odd pain, and my left lymph node is swollen again. My sinuses are chronically infected it seems as well. The headache throbs, and the pain is moderate.
