Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

The hypo echoic focus in ankle can be due to-

-Injury to cartilage

-Presence of blood

-Increased blood flow due to trauma or inflammation.

-Bone edema due to trauma

If your injury is recent one then this will disappear with in few days .

At present you should do rest & take an anti inflammatory analgesic for relief.

Hope you will get well soon.

With best wishes.
