Hi,

The cartilages of babies develop and get firm over time. That is the reason you need to be careful while handling kids. But, there is no reason to worry as it will develop, just make sure you give a balanced healthy diet and contact your doctor immediately if there is any abnormal symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sriram Nathan, ENT Specialist
