How To Treat Infection That Looks Like A Yeast Infection?

I have what I believe is a yeast infection as it is similar to the ones I have had before. I used Monistat 3 but the symptoms are not going away. Also, my boyfriend is experiencing itching and burning on his genitals that started the shortly after I noticed symptoms of a yeast infection. What do I do now?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

The history and the symptoms are suggesting me that you are having the fungal infection. The fungus are the normal comensals of the genitals which will be kept under control by the useful bacteria whenever there is change in the environmental PH, the fungus will multiply and produces the symptoms of fungal infection.

As your partner also had the symptoms of fungal infection, that may be the reason for your symptoms too. I would suggest you to follow
1.Maintain good personal hygiene
2. The genital area should be dry and clean
3.Topical antifungal cream like griseoflavin
4.Oral Antihistamines.
Thank you.
