How To Treat Headache?

i started having an achy body and head, my eyes were heavy, my breast were tender and I could hardly stand. I was getting sweaty, then chills. I took ibuprofen and felt fine all day today, then all the symptoms kicked in all at once again. I m concerned because I m not coughing or have a runny nose or anything else.

Hi,

Viral syndromes believe it or not can certainly be DRY as a bone sometimes and need not be accompanied by a lot of coughing, sneezing, drainage, congestion, etc. That's what the commercials on TV like to show because everybody relates to that stereotype in bed taking some drug company's pills. Nobody feels sorry for someone with a cold who doesn't seem to be blowing their nose, coughing up gunk, or taking Pepto Bismol or Maalox! LOL.....Of course, CHILLS...could signify some other types of infectious entities.

Are you having any vaginal discharges, burning upon urinating, or blood tinged urine in the toilet? Those could be more along the lines of a urinary tract infection or similar.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
