How To Treat Accidental Consumption Of Ibuprofen By A 4 Years Child?

my son who is 4 in two weeks just ate 1/2 a 200mg ibuprofen tablet, i don't know how many were in the packet so not 100% he didn't eat more. he was crunching it up and managed to hook most of it before he could swallow any. he is big lad and weighs around 3 stone and is approx 1m 15cm tall.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Normally he can consume 200 mg/dose 2-3 times daily for relief from inflammation.(10 mg/kg body weight.
The side effects are Gastric bleeding ans is renotoxic.
If the boy is normal and passing urine freely and if there is no altered blood in the stool or stomach pain, you need not worry.
If any of these symptoms present give antacid and take him to ER.
