How To Treat A Split Skin Caused By A Hit?
My 20 month old granddaughter was running and fell and hit her head on the corner of wooden door casing. She seems to be fine except the skin on her upper right hand forehead shows the skin slightly split but not bleeding. My question is should I keep her up longer than 1 hour? She did not like the ice pack but she is now running around and seems to be doing fine. Thank you, Sandi

It seems that there might be having minor skin breech causing split of skin on forehead.
Consult your doctor and see that she requires 1-2 stitches as in future there might be having small scar causing cosmetically problem.
