How To Treat A Person With Severe Depression Who Is Not Interested In Seeing A Doctor?
My daughter has severe depression and refuses to leave the house. Is there psychiatrist that will come to the home to make an assesement. I can t get her in the car to go to a hospital or doctor and I really don t want to call 911. I would like advice to see if that is the right decision.

Unfortunately, when someone has a severe psychological problem, they may not have the insight or the motivation to seek help. So, it would be upto you to take necessary steps to get her the necessary help or treatment. I'm not sure if any doctor in your place would come home for an assessment. Even if this is possible, considering the current state your daughter is in, I presume that she will need to be taken to a hospital for further treatment. So, if you cannot find any other means to get her to the hospital, please don't hesitate to call 911.
