Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
There is 2 percent chance of pregnancy with condom. However the chance increases if condom break in the middle. However depends on the time of menstrual cycle, Chances are more if it is around ovulation period. Sperm remain viable for many days however egg remains viable for two days only.
I would like to advise her to take contraceptive if it is earlier than 72 hours.
Check pregnancy status after 10 days.. if it's negative then no need to worried at all.
Hope it helps best.

Hello dear,
I understand your concern.

In my opinion the emergency contraception like unwanted 72 can be taken.

Emergency contraception is taken in case of real emergency situations like tear or slippage of condom ,missing a birth control pill etc.

Yes in your case unwanted 72 can be taken.

It needs to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

If taken within stipulated time it is effective in 95%.

So relax.Avoid stress.

Hope this helps.
Best regards....Dr.Srilatha
