Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding treatment for swollen uvula. As you had already getting treatment from your doctor.

I would like to tell you that swelling of uvula may develop due to-

1- Allergy.

2- Infection (uvulitis)

3- Ulceration.

Beside these in all inflammation of tonsils and pharynx uvula is more or less swells.

As for as treatment is concerned one should always use-

a- Anti inflammatory.

b- Steroids.

c- Tripsin + bromelain +Rutoside.

d- Antacids.

e- Antibiotic (in cases of infection).

f- Warm saline gargling.

Probably you got the answer of your query.

Regards.
