How To Reduce Pain In Triceps Which Is Swollen And Bruised?

HI, I've been doing an intense weight lifting this past week. Now my (R)Tricep is swollen and bruised, and hurts. It is very painful to even use my right arm. I cant stand the pain when I lift my arm or lift anything with it. I looked into this and It seem like it a grade 2 Tricep muscle tear. Do you think this sounds accurate. and what are the recommendations with the healing process.

Hi
I dont know how you confirmed your triceps tear.
You need to do ultrasonography done and see what thickness tear it has if its partial thickness tear then treat convervatively and if it is full thickness then repair should be donr.
As you are saying it is grade 2 it should be treated conservatively in humerus brace along with long arm pouch or with u slab and sling. which will restrict the movement of triceps and allow it to heal it takes atleadt 3 to 4 wks to heal.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
