How To Overcome The Discomfort And Pain Caused By Plate And Screws In Ankle?
plate and 2 screws in ankle in a lot of pain and pain going into my big toe not able to bend toe now 12 weeks after cast came off why would i have so much pain my pain killers not working just last week went back to work standing 9 hours out of 10 per day what should i do alot alot of pain and discomfort please help
Pain radiating to your big toe with inability to bend it, indicates compression over or, irritation of the toe nerve by the plate and screws. Consult your doctor immediately before the nerve gets irreversibly damaged. The doctor will readjust the plate/screws to decompress the nerve.
You have not mentioned which pain-killers are you taking? Perhaps, oxycodone will help in relieving pain.
