How To Manage Loss Of Appetite After Suffering A Stroke?
Hi, my older brother (73 years) had a severe stroke last June. He is now hemiplegic. He has become anorexic and has no interest in food. He has lost 45 pounds. Is this unusual and what should our response be? He was thin to begin with and we are concerned.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe Your brother had stroke on last June.Since that time he lost appetite, and lost weight. The reason may not be related to the stroke. It may be due to the anxiety, and tension of his condition. I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms omeprazole, domperidone, and enzyme preparations . Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
