hi,
zoloft (sertaline) is an antidepressant, and is not an anxiolytic drug; so it wont by any chance quell the anxiety. some patients may experience anxiety while on the drug or during dose titration for this reason.
As it alters the seratonin levels in the brain, it can have those side effects; hence used for depression and not for anxiety.
hope i am clear.
