My mom, 70 yr old had colonoscopy Thursday. She has since experienced a jelly-like bloody discharge. She said it just comes out of rectum. No pain. Also blood on toilet tissue. There was biopsy done, on tissue the Dr called endometriosus. Should we be concerned?

Hello,

In endometriosis, there will be bloody mucous discharge during the cycle.

So it is better to take medical therapy or surgical excision of endometrial tissue.

Please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat her accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
